Fished Selmac Lake on Sunday. Lake level is up. Vis. is
really great at 3'. Temp. was 46-48 Degrees. Cloudy morning
burned off to be
a sunny blue bird day which shut the bite down but before that I landed a
5.6 Lb. Largemouth on a jig.
Also landed a 2.6 Lbs. on a swimbait and
numerous 1 Lbs. on ripbaits and lipless crankbaits. Kevin and Colton were
there
also. Kevin took my advice about this one area on the lake that turns
on before the rest and by the time I arrived, those
two had already had
cleaned their clock mostly 1 lb. As I said, once that sun came out those
fish moved tight to the
cover and were lock jawed. Also for those who enjoy
the fight of trout they have dropped 5000 of these things in the lake
to
feed the bass.

Fished Emigrant Lake on Saterday. Lake is about 20' from
full pool. Temp. was at 40 Degrees. Vis was at less than
1'. Cloudy and
rainy with some snow mixed in. Kevin W. was also there but didn't stick it
out for long. I managed to
get one smallmouth bass with mud on her belly
that pushed the 3 Lbs. mark. she ate a red/gold lipless crankbait up the
river
arm on a gradual sloping bank. Also had one bite on a twintail grub
but didn't hook up. <><>

hours and didn't get touched.
